About Us

Hi! We’re Max and Cath—husband and wife, creative partners, and the team behind Max Junio Photography LLC. We’re based in Los Angeles and specialize in timeless photography and cinematic videography that captures genuine emotions, candid moments, and everything in between.

Our story began in 2005 when we first met in college in the Philippines. Life took us in different directions and we lost touch for a few years — Cath moved to the U.S. in 2008, and by what we call divine timing, we reconnected in 2010—and that was the start of something real. We began a long-distance relationship that lasted eight years (yes, really!). After years of video calls, airport goodbyes, and growing stronger across the miles, we finally closed the gap in 2018, when Max moved to the U.S. We got married in 2014 along the way and have been building a life—and business—together ever since.

We were both born and raised in the Philippines, and our love story, faith, and journey continue to shape how we see the world and tell stories. We’re also musicians and active volunteers at our local church, and we bring those same values of heart, connection, and intention into every wedding we document.

Our Style

Our editing style is true-to-life with a warm, timeless touch—clean colors, soft tones, and natural light that will still feel beautiful years from now. We’re drawn to real moments: gentle gestures, spontaneous laughter, and the in-between scenes that often mean the most.

A Few Fun Facts About Us:

  • We survived 8 years of long distance—true love, good Wi-Fi, and lots of prayer!

  • Max started photography in 2016 in the Philippines, and when he moved to the U.S. in 2018, he rebuilt the business from scratch.

  • Cath officially joined the business in 2021, and it’s been the dream team ever since.

  • Max is the calm, steady eye behind the camera with a love for light and composition.

  • Cath brings the creative energy, helps direct, and never misses the little moments that matter.

  • We’re both musicians at our local church—Max plays guitar, keyboard, and sings, and Cath plays keyboard and sings too. Worship and music have been a big part of our lives since the beginning.
